Plot

For busy architect and construction entrepreneur Uli Fischer, everything seems to be a mere formality. The investors are enthusiastic about the plans for his hotel complex in Mallorca. There's just one catch. The property owner, Alejandro Pérez, hasn't yet sold his idyllic bay, where the hotel is to be built, to Uli's company. In order to finalize the deal of his life and also spend a few pleasant days on the sunny island with his girlfriend and assistant, Uli checks in with Jana Rosen for Mallorca. But the first surprise awaits at Munich Airport. Uli's ex-wife, Karin, is seriously ill and is sending their three children, Tom, Caroline, and Patrick, along for the trip. Uli is anything but thrilled, but thanks to Jana's help, the eccentric father can use the time on the island to finally get to know his children and their worries and needs better. The next problem is Alejandro Pérez. The environmentally and tradition-conscious property owner scrutinizes each of his buyers with a critical eye. Before signing the contract, Uli must complete a series of "tests" that prove him to be a worthy buyer who won't spoil the beautiful landscape with desolate hotels. So far, so good. But when Alejandro also sets his sights on Jana, Uli begins to feel a bit strange about the whole thing.
